GSM TRI-BAND RECEIVER BOARD

A telecoms equipment supplier approached Hidalgo to identify a cost effective way to provide a GSM850/900/DCS/PCS receiver module for use in a timing measurement unit. The design needed to be suitable for low to medium volume manufacture. Hidalgo undertook:

• a brief feasibility study into an architecture which met the performance and volume criteria
• identification of core components suitable for the architecture
• design, build and testing of the module
• production introduction to the chosen CEM including the provision of automated calibration and test equipment
• conformance testing to GSM05.05 and other applicable standards.
